Embedded systems development for physical products

Firmware, embedded Linux, and on-device intelligence built around real hardware constraints.

SixSol Technologies develops software for embedded hardware and edge devices. Work can involve firmware, embedded Linux applications, peripheral communication, and AI processing on a device.

Start with the hardware and constraints

A device project needs a clear understanding of the processor, memory, peripherals, power, operating environment, and required behavior. We use those details to define a feasible first milestone and its validation method.

Platforms we work with include ESP32, STM32, BeagleBone, and Raspberry Pi. Platform choice should follow the requirements rather than a default preference for one board.

Relevant experience: offline nature learning

SixSol worked on a children’s nature-learning device built around Rockchip RK3576. The system combines image recognition, a local language model, speech output, an interactive interface, and GPS-based region tagging. This illustrates an integration challenge where multiple models and interfaces share limited device resources.

How is an embedded project validated?

Agree specific checks for the implemented functions and expected conditions. Performance claims should be supported by measurements on the target hardware. Processor specifications alone do not establish application latency, thermal behavior, or continuous-operation reliability.

What should you send first?

Provide the board or processor, relevant schematics or interface documentation, existing firmware or application details, and the behavior you need to add or fix.
